Ssshhhhh

So … my twins are turning 11 in a little bit – and my daughter has a loooong wish list – I use to love that … making long colorful, well thought out lists, hoping and dreaming …

but will you look at that …

“A doll made by MOM” … how can I say no to that – as in ever!

So I have all these lovely books and magazines hanging around because I love looking a dolls and ideas – and Miss Daughter has been looking through them all and I have heard her go “aaawww how cute is that” many times.

This little guy in the middle (or is it a girl?) has been “aaww’ed” a lot and so I have decided that is the one I will do for her (the other one she likes a lot is a cow – I mean – I just cannot make and give my daughter a cow for her birthday!)

I will change it a bit though – no crown and no ice-cream … instead you’ll have to come back and check out in a few days – my plan for this bunny is very cute, and I’m pretty darn sure Miss Daughter will give my a big “AAWW” when she sees it!

Tell Me What You See

You know that game where you get handed a photo … it will be of an item taken up very close and you have to guess what it is?

Well – maybe you don’t, maybe I am the only one who ever played that game as a kid (and sometimes as an adult too – I like a challenge!)

Nevertheless – tell me … what is this …

I did promise you I’d have something to show you today didn’t I?

So that silly dentist appointment only lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes which left me with a little over one hour at home before picking up the kids from school and guess what – I ran … I might even have gone over the speed limit while driving home – just so that I had enough time to play with “Gemini”.

Hey … as I typed “Gemini” I just realized that you might not even know who “Gemini” is … and then I had to go check my posts – and then I realized that I have not written about “Gemini” here … I only showed a picture over there on Facebook …

You have to meet “Gemini” … so named by my twins … Gemini … twins … you get it?

Ok – so you know the character face I made – in my very first polymer clay class. The one where the first head looked like this …

Argh … well – let’s just say that in the short time since that sculpt I’ve come a long way … right?

So now I’m taking the next class where we get to use the head for a full body sculpt – or should I just say an art piece?

Here you go – meet “Gemini”

All of a sudden he became a little person and I’m not shy to tell you that I even rubbed noses with him – that is how cute he is now!

So this was all done last Wednesday – and yesterday I got to dress him …

Which makes him even cuter …

Well well well … what do you think of that?

I didn’t actually put that collar on him – didn’t like it – so now I must go trim-shopping again (oh the pain :) )

But he is cute – and since I know where he’s going and how much more there is to him – I just cannot wait to get started on the next bit – Bring on Tuesday night where I get my next lesson plan!
