Blogs I Read

There is unfornately only so much time one can spend on reading blogs every day, but what you see here are people I cannot live without as between them they always bring a smile to my face – and for that I am entirely grateful!

Abi Monroe

Abi makes Art Dolls that are so pretty, so delicate, so fine and I can only dream that one day I will be able to actually touch one of these!

The Pioneer Woman

The Pioneer Woman – I didn’t know of this Wonder Woman until this summer – and now I cannot live without her. She makes me dream of home schooling my children – and trust me, no other woman would be able to make me dream of that!

Also she is the the reason that the queue of neighborhood kids got longer by the door – her Chocolate Sheet Cake is unbelievable … but her Red Velvet Cake – you have GOT to try it – and do not say no to the icing, the icing is truly the best icing I have ever tasted – and it is not just her cakes – her food too … and her dogs … and her pictures … and her cattle … and her horses … and her family – I cannot get enough of her!

 The TomKat Studio

The Tomkat Studio – Kim designed all the decor for my 40th Birthday Party. I do think I was super lucky to get in before she got famous and known by Martha (Stewart of course!) and Amy Atlas and everybody else.

She does exquisite work and if you are into fancy birthdays – kids or adults – she makes everything very easy and very pretty. She has fantastic ideas and her blog is well worth a look!

 Pretty By Hand

It makes me incredibly proud and honored to be able to call Kristyne a friend.

Kristyne taught me SO much about quilting and is the sole responsibility for me getting a quilting machine instead of insisting on hand stitching every single quilt.

I have spent many hours in a basement with Kristyne, sewing but also rocking out to her very cool music taste and eating Chinese – and not to forget – amazing Carrot Cake!

These days – well don’t be surprised if one day you see her on telly – or maybe her face in a bookstore while signing books or see her name in the credits of a stunning Quilt or Cross Stitch pattern. She is beyond talented and very very funny! I love her daily blogs – she makes me smile, every single day!

Kong Mors Verden

I will continue to explain my blog choices in English as I’d hate to exclude anyone – although without a fair bit of knowledge about the Danish language you might not get this blog.

Kong Mor is the most amazing writer – I love listening to her daily ups and downs, and probably what I love most about her is her honesty. So often you’ll find blogs where every day is descibed as a joy – I don’t believe any of us live those lives … there are ups and downs and that is what shapes us. Kong Mor helps me smile through some of the less fun days – she is just wonderfully Danish and honest! (oh … and she also has a Christmas Blog – how can you not love that!)
