it’s Friday … Pinterest Friday!
And today I will share with you what happened when I needed to Purge - because I told you I had to paint, but not what I had decided to paint!
… because I was a little embarrassed – we’ve lived in this house 3 1/2 years and this is the 4th time I’m painting the kitchen.
Well, a little change never hurt anybody did it – fortunately I’m very happy to say … I’ve found IT … I have found the colour that I love for the kitchen.
and this is it
…Buttercup …. doesn’t that just sing of happiness?
Well it is stunning – and warm – and pretty and lovely … so much so that for a little moment yesterday I considered bringing in a mattress and sleeping in the kitchen because it made me so happy.
It finally feels like a room in its own right!
But then … curtains – so off I went to Pinterest again – didn’t find anything I really liked so off I went to ETSY and they had some fabrics I was interested in. So all I had to do was use my little “Pin It” button up there in my “favorites” bar and voila – now it is on Pinterest and I have had quite a few people repin it – I swear Pinterest is such a great tool!
Here are three fabrics I’m considering
These are the ones I’m thinking of right now – it is entirely possible that I will have to spend some more time on it … though I like the cups especially lots!
Oh then I would like an island in my kitchen – I do actually have one right now – there was one in the corner of our kitchen which I just decided to try to move into the middle of the kitchen to see how I’d feel having to walk around it – and I love it. I thought I’d be really annoyed and might find myself with numerous black marks on my hips from having doinked into it – but so far not so much as a touch to my lovely (!) hips.
But of course I’d like a better, bigger, nicer island because the one we have is not very nice and not quite big enough – and how lucky is that? Because it means a trip to IKEA – biggest IKEA in Canada … just opened in December and first time for Mr. Hubby to see it (I of course was there on opening day).
So – there you see, a wonderful way to play with Pinterest.
I got to show you all what I’ve done, what I would like and what I’m pretty sure I will get!
Have a wonderful weekend all!

I like the one with the coffee cups, those happy faces.
Enjoy the redecorating
